PAWS - Post Adoption and Welfare Support Program

I am the President of a non-profit called P.A.W.S - the Post Adoption and Welfare Support Program.  Our goal is to help provide training and welfare resources to the rescue community.  We have a lot of free information about dog training, animal behavior, and animal welfare.  Please check it out and if you are able we'd love to have you check out our donations page to see where you can help.  You can find out more about PAWS here:

MEDICAL RESOURCES

Regular check ups with your dog's primary care veterinarian (typically once a year) are important and should always be your primary point of contact for any medical questions.  The following are other available resources:

INDUSTRY TRAINING STANDARDS

Training is an unregulated industry.  This allows anyone who can get clients to call themselves a dog trainer.  There are a variety of pet professional (typically founded by trainers and veterinary behaviorists) and veterinary associations that have put out recommendations for training standards

PET BEHAVIOR RESOURCES

Trainers are available to provide support for your dog but there are a variety of quality resources online that can assist or give you additional background to create an ideal pet.
